Between September 25 and October 10, 2010, the equestrian world focused their attention on the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games, held for the first time in the United States at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, KY.
Following two days of dressage, team Germany led the way heading into cross-country. Over 50,000 spectators showed up on a gorgeous sunny day to watch the world’s best compete over the Michael Etherington-Smith designed course. By days end Team USA had moved up from seventh to second place, while individual Becky Holder and Courageous Comet sat in individual bronze position.
