Bit of Britain Welcomed as Title Sponsor of the American Eventing Championships
Updated: 2009-02-09
The USEA is pleased to announce that John Nunn's popular company Bit of Britain has signed on to become the title sponsorship for the American Eventing Championships. This is certainly a fitting match and this new partnership cements the USEA's fifteen-year sponsor partnership with Bit of Britain.
"It has been such a pleasure to work with John over the last fifteen years," said Jo Whitehouse, USEA CEO. "John and his company have supported the USEA in so many different ways. John supported the AEC when it first launched back in 2004, and was also one of the original Adequan/USEA Gold Cup sponsors. The title sponsorship of the American Eventing Championships is the icing on the cake and underscores his total commitment to the sport."
John and his companies Bit of Britain and Nunn Finer also sponsor the SmartPak Equine USEA Training Three-Day Series, the Spalding Labs USEA Young Event Horse Series, the Future Event Horse Series, and the USEA Annual Meeting & Convention.
John generously gives all USEA members a 5% discount on their internet orders at Bit of Britain- simply enter in your USEA number in the coupon code section to receive your discount!
Nunn Finer, John's other company which produces quality equestrian supplies and tack, sponsors course walks by top riders at events all across the country! Gina Miles, Boyd Martin, Amy Tryon, Kim Severson, Bonnie Mosser, Carol Kozlowski, and many more of the Nunn Finer riders offer their expertise (free of charge!) to riders of all levels. Check back on the USEA site soon for more information on upcoming course walks.
We hope that when you attend the Bit of Britain/USEA American Eventing Championships this year, you'll stop by the Bit of Britain tent to show your support for John and his wonderful company.
The 2009 Bit of Britain/USEA American Eventing Championships will take place on September 10-13 in Wayne, Illinois. This is the third year that the celebrated national championships have been held at the stunning grounds of the Lamplight Equestrian Center. After eight inches of rain fell during last year's event,we're crossing our fingers for sunny skies and will be welcoming back the hundreds of competitors who have competed at the event over the past several years, and meet many new eventing enthusiasts as well.
All the fabulous prizes and cash you've come to associate with the championships will return again this year, and we're also rewarding our AEC competitors by giving out "Championship Points." To find out more about this new points system, check out the latest AEC press release.
See you in September!
