Awesome Bit!!! May 23, 2012

The women at my local tack store reccommended this bit, and I was a little skeptical at first because I thought it would scare my horse, OTTB.  But she loved it!!!  After a few times riding in it she was softer, balancing her frame and holding herself there!!!  Since I had such success with it I tried it on a few younger horses I had already started and it was awesome for them as well, it was not scary to them and they learned how to care themselves much faster!!!  It works like a side reins in the fact that the horses teaches themselves instead of the rider fighting with them!!! Highly recommened!!!!

My trainer talked me into buying this bit at Rolex 2008. I was skeptical at first because my mare is finicky about bits. She is a puller and will pull your arms off, she is very strong on cross country and was poking her nose out at X in dressage. I was skeptical that this bit would give me brakes on cross. I put this bit on her and I had a totally different mare. She was soft and there was no pulling, it gave me great brakes and there was no nose poking at X. The fact that this bit locks down their tounge when they or you pull is ingenious. It helps them teach themselves to be soft and not pull.
