The Korsteel Jointed Beval Loose Ring Bit is a versatile bit for most levels of training and competition.
A unique design, the reins can be attached to different parts of the loose ring cheeks. You can have the effect of a Baucher bit by attaching the bridle cheek to the small fixed loop at the top and attach the rein to the large loose ring allowing the bit to move in the horse's mouth as a loose ring. To use as a mild gag bit, attach the rein to the small loop at the bottom. Using the bit in this manner allows more leverage and poll pressure than a typical snaffle but is not as strong as most gag bits.
